Re: Zach Farmer: Next Level
My thoughts too Bengal. Like I said, I've only seen him throw once, but that was enough to see that he has tools. He's in good hands and I think the kid will make some noise in southern Ohio for the next 3 yrs. I can remember coaching first base and amazed at how good his move to first and the plate were as only a freshman. He's going to be the real deal for sure.
Re: Zach Farmer: Next Level
Bengalfan very well stated. There is good talent in southern ohio and it is hard to get the attention they deserve...
Re: Zach Farmer: Next Level
I didnt mean what i said in any bad manner, i think farmer is an hell of an athelete. All i said was an attitude check. By all means will i ever say Farmer is not a good baseball play. Yes, he is young, and we are talking bout a young athlete.
Oh, rumors haveit.. Boston Red Sox called the kid yesterday!
Very exciting, Kid, here is your shot. Give it all you got!
Best wishes from me, and my family and friends! You deserve it kid

At NC showcase at CSA he was clocked at 88 mph but the coaches said he wasn't even letting it all go?

Guys lets take a deep breath and relax. This kid is a special athlete. He is only a sophmore. If you question his ability come watch the kid. He is a special talent and will be fun for the SE district to enjoy for the next few years.

88 mph at I beleive only 16 and I think he is a lefty i hope Valley is on piketons schedule this year cant wait to see him !

Valley will play Piketon on the first Saturday of the season. We play Westfall on the Friday prior and Adena on Monday Following. I doubt he pitches in the DH vs Valley. Besides there is a chance for Piketon to meed Valley in the districts.
Re: Zach Farmer: Next Level
if that lawnmower sounding sleeping coach doesn't ruin him he'll be fine.....lol......Coach bum might not be what some feel is the ideal coach but i do know he does have knowledge of the game and he does love what he's doing. He works well with the players and i do believe bum will do the right thing for ot only farmer but for his piketon redstreaks......the kid is young and as any young man who loves the sport he/she is playing will show emotions....It takes time, experience and good coaching to correct the immaturity of the emotion that is shown

Not sure I understand the meaning of this..... I hope you are not an adult taking a shot at a 16 yr old kid also.

Re: Zach Farmer: Next Level
I've heard a lot of good things about this kid as a pitcher, I was at the Adena game last year at Frankfort but didn't get to see him come in the last inning to pitch. I guess he fanned all three batters he faced with ease. I would have to see the radar gun myself to believe a 14 or 15 year old kid can throw 88 mph.though. If he can throw that hard now the skies the limit.
Re: Zach Farmer: Next Level
I can you tell the kid for a fact throws what the radar gun says- we where in charlotte with him and coach martins group- and that was with him not turning it all the way loose. The kid has it and the scouts seen it. Witnessed it first hand
Re: Zach Farmer: Next Level
I agree, this kid is impressive. We're going to hear a lot about him and I wish him the best. It's exciting to see players like that from the area.

Good can't wait to see him pitch. Adena will have some good bats this year, i think Adena and Piketon will be right at the top.

Does anybody have a link to the camp they were at? I guess they had individual results in different drills. There was also an Adena player there.
