Help! I need a sports fundraiser that works...any ideas?

Post by coachstraps »

hey..can anyone recommend a good fundraiser? i'm looking for one that is quick and actually works. last season we sold mags and cookie dough. it was a pain in the neck and the players/parents hated doing it....probably because we didn't raise much either and it took more time than everyone thought. thanks for any ideas you can share.

Have a cornhole tournament. Payout a % to the winners and have parents donate hotdogs and time, then sell them.

It really depends on how much profit you want to make. You can sell raffle tickets on a prize or have a reverse raffle. You need to get as many prizes donated as you can to help with the profit. There are hundreds of ideas, you just have to know what you want to make. It depends alot on how many people are helping you sell the tickets also.

One of the Best Fundrasiers I have been part of is a Dinner with an Auction, but it takes time to plan and advertise. texas Hold'em tourny's do pretty well, set the max you will give away, prior to the event.

Pancake Breakfast. We made 2000.00 split between the SB and BB teams. Really didnt promote it well.
Bob Evans donated the batter and kids brought milk or juice and each brought syrup.

Have the parents bring in griddles and quick cash.
We charged 5.00 for all you can eat Pancakes.

Costs:
Paper plates and cups
Coffee
Sausage and Bacon- We bought precooked.

Great team building.

We also took orders and delivered.

Car wash in spring. Have the kids presale the tix. Presales work great because not everyone shows up and you have the money in pocket rain or shine.
