Re: Marietta Baseball '11
Lost a good bit of talent from last year but they had some good talent come up in some play for Varsity from JV, even some freshman I believe?? Seems to be a good class of Sophomores some Varsity experience, as well as this years Juniors who really should be ready to shine. Will be interesting..maybe a very important factor in the SEOAL All Sports Trophy....

Should be a good season for the Tigers. Hopefully Varsity can win enough league games to be 3 or 2. Have to overcome Gallia more than likely for 2nd place in order to play Warren on the day of champions. Definitely some young talent and this will be a very good, competitive team for years to come.

Re: Marietta Baseball '11
I was in attendance for some of Marietta's jv games last year and saw alot of potential. They had a very solid right fielder that had a cannon of an arm, I forget his name now, but I used to go to Fort Frye with him, from what I saw, he could be the next Tyler Engle. The kid can rake.
I also heard that they have a very solid freshman class coming in, specifically one player, Vanfossen I think was his name? He, along with the player mentioned earlier should, join Tim Grosel to fill up a strong outfield that should lead the Tigers to a strong season, hopefully winning the SEOAL in their last season there.

Well, from the games I have attended (JV), I have seen lots of talent from a young Marietta squad. However, one player in particular stood out to me. The DH (not familiar with his name) was an absolute animal. This kid has an astounding cannon! His glove is spectacular, I've never seen him make an error (In the innings he played), and he never struck out in the 8 games I watched him in. He's honestly an all-around player and I'm almost positive there will be more posts about him in the future. He has the arm of Ichiro, the bat of Pujols, and the glove of Jeter. Look forward to seeing him in a legion uniform. Good luck to him and all of the other Tigers such as this VanFossen kid? Sounds like a real player as well.

Tigers will have a very tough year. The talent level has dropped so much in the last 5-6 years, I believe the lack of the Legion team has really hurt the program.
Re: baseball
I think the SEOAL will play a round robin schedule this spring. There will be no North-South Division this year.

Re: baseball
Play everyone twice!! NO Day Of Champions!!! Which was a bad game unless you were the top two teams!! Winner take all!
