9 to 8 Marietta....Portsmouth had bases loaded in bottom of 7th with one out, a deep fly ball to right field,and some confusion with the runner on 3rd... did not score,,next batter strikes out game over.....

Wow...Lots of close games in SEOAL this spring.

B-dg...GAHS & I were on way to Albany for non-league games with the Spartan men and women. After a good start up there, found out the boys game scheduled quickly Wednesday evening and been quickly called off. Some poor communication on someone's part. By the way, GAHS-4-Ever was an unhappy man on the way home. Spartan Ladies snapped Gallipolis' 15-game unbeaten string 12-2 in five innings this evening.

If Portsmouth baseball is going to get back to where it once was some time ago, there must be no doubt as to what to do in these situations..

Hitting

Myers single double, Wedebrook 3 singles , Bray double, Scott 3 hits, Howard 3 hits. Coakley double.

Mitch Gower mad a great play in the 6th inning. Kids fought hard and never gave in. Proud of them for showing some much fight and heart!
