Valley vs. Wheelersburg Regional Semi's

Post by Crab's Brother »

Thoughts on this one?

Burg has owned Valley in the recent past, but it has been said that it is hard to beat the same team three times in a season.

I would guess Wamsley vs. Moore?

Should be a good ball game.

Third time is the charm but for who? Burg has already beaten the Indians twice this season, but for the Pirates the football and basketball teams both bowed in the Regional Semifinals. Something has to give.

Burg is yet to give up a run in the tournament so it will be important for Valley to score early. Should be a good one throughout.

*were they? And I wasn't saying anything about losses to Valley. I was just making the point that the Burg teams have lost in the Regional Semis in the other two "major" boys sports this school year.

I hope the State makes an early decision on this game. I don't wanna drive all the way to Athens and get rained out.

Wheelersburg 11 Valley 6
The game took almost five hours to play. An hour storm delay added to the inability of both teams to throw strikes, according to the umpire.

Pirates (25-2) will face Piketon Saturday at 1 for regional championship.

Seems like The Burg has Valley's number. When is the last time Valley has beaten them in baseball?

valley could not handle the big situations. many passed balls and walks from the pitching staff and no key hits. they left bases loaded 3 times and twice with one out. maybe next year. good luck pirates.
