They were out of pitching and this will give them their best two to face burg! I see burg has played in the Greenup County Tournament. Burg had to be using their pitchers also.

Not to get into he said she said battle about pitching, but Waverly's ACE was ready to pitch against Burg, He last pitched Monday vs. Minford and pitching wasn't a problem. As someone stated the outfield at Waverly can be a swamp, it may look dry but you can easily sink a couple of inches out there. More about players safety. I'm sure they'll make it up.

Yes u r right! Got some bad info. I went by field that day and if your going to play the game have it on a dry field not sinking outfield ever step you take.

Big SOC game tonight at home vs. Valley! Later this week is Oak Hill and then next week is Waverly. That will finish the SOC schedule with the goal of sharing the SOC Title with Minford.

Burg schedule between today and next Thursday includes games vs. Valley, Oak Hill, Lewis County, Greenup, Zane Trace, Waverly and Adena.

Burg is having another fine year.

They do have quite a few games in the next week. Greenup is definitely down but LC, ZT, Waverly and Adena are all very good teams. I am sure that Burg will throw their better arms against the conference opponents but I have to wonder how deep they are with pitching/sore arms by the end of that schedule.
