Sectional Tournament Seeds
What is everyone's thoughts on how the seedings should fall since the draw is Sunday. Seems like we have had a lot of good competitive baseball at all levels in the southeast district. How will this translate come tournament time?
Re: Sectional Tournament Seeds
Coal Grove will end up a double digit seed, probably as tough of a game as you can draw first round if you're a higher seed

Re: Sectional Tournament Seeds
Adena and Zane Trace could be the teams to end Wheelersburg's streak, but I'll take ZT between those 2 if I'm picking one. They play proper baseball and while they may not have the pitching depth, they'll certainly hit the ball to play with anyone.

Re: Sectional Tournament Seeds
What are south Webster and symmes valley records for D4? Does anyone know? Also eastern pike?
Re: Sectional Tournament Seeds
South Webster, I believe is 13-10 and 7-5 in their conference.
The last I knew Symmes Valley was about 4-7 and Eastern Pike 3-9.

Indeed they do, they can play with anyone. They have taken Burg to extras and beaten other good teams. It's always interesting to see them play in D4 tournaments for each sport and compete in the SOC 2 against bigger schools all season. Their record is never a good indicator on how they will do in the tournament.

Records I believe were locked Wednesday night before midnight, so games played last night will not show.Rufus wrote:Anyone able to update records after last night's games?
Re: Sectional Tournament Seeds
Right, but votes aren't submitted until tonight, so hopefully teams will keep an eye on how other teams finish the week before they vote.
Re: Sectional Tournament Seeds
Waterford is now 15-6 they lost a few games they shouldn't have though
Re: Sectional Tournament Seeds
Every team can say that the lost a few games the shouldn't have. Waterford should definitely get to host their sectional title game. Solid teamH-back wrote:Waterford is now 15-6 they lost a few games they shouldn't have though

I want to say that it was 3PM during basketball. But, the typical meeting was at 1, so I think it will be anytime after 1 today.mrwonderful wrote:Does anyone know what time the seedings will be posted Sunday?
This, of course, is due to the difficulty of tabulating the votes. They haven't had much time since the votes were in by 11:59 on Friday night and they are automatically stored and put into a spreadsheet by Baum's Page. Still makes sense why they can't be in quickly or posted.

Re: Sectional Tournament Seeds
But, my guesses for the 1 seeds.
D2: Fairfield Union and Jackson
D3: Zane Trace and Wheelersburg
D4: Notre Dame as one of them. Unsure of the split in baseball.
Seeing Alexander, Meigs, and Minford as 1 seeds wouldn't be shocking either. Should be some good baseball coming up if the weather cooperates.

Re: Sectional Tournament Seeds
Zane Trace is a good team, but have to give Minford the 1 seed based on the 12 to 4 victory Minford has over Zane Trace earlier in the year. Minford also easily beat Piketon 14 to 0, which I believe Piketon played Zane Trace much closer than that. The SOC2 with Wheelersburg, Minford, Waverly, Valley, West, and South Webster has shown to be a much stronger conference than the SVC.danicalifornia wrote:But, my guesses for the 1 seeds.
