This thread is about Belpre, and they lost all of their pitching, as well as the majority of their offense.

VERY long year for the Golden Eagles this year. Meigs will be the team to beat in the TVC Ohio.

Yeah & Meigs dominates the league but can never get passed Gallipolis in the Sectionals. I'd rather be like the Golden Eagles. Best of Luck to both this upcoming year.

u say that meigs never gets by gallia while belpre goes deep in the playoffs......gallia is a very good team ....only losing 0-1 to was it washington courthouse i believe.....while belpre in DIII play not as good teams so it makes them look good....then they see what happens in about the 4th game when they finally play a good team

Belpre is just playing schools their own size & winning, quit crying to me!
They face Federal Hocking (who wins the Hocking Year in & year out!) almost every year in sectionals? Are you saying Federal hocking is not a good team?
Sorry I believe Fed Hock has a great PROGRAM! It is a quality win to beat Rocky's boys especially when you have a bad seed & have had to go to the old dirt infield to play! (which I know it is not now but I believe that was a homefield advantage)
I got to see that field this year & I was very impressed, nice job Coach Chadwell & everyone else involved!!! :-D

Meigs was not one and done.

The Eagles have had great success the past two seasons. It is good for the league that they have. If you want to compare apples to apples, what has Wellston done in the tournament with all of their wins, TVC titles, and talent the past 5-10 years?

The fact that the TVC has any success in Div. II tournament will be miraculous when you have powers such as CH, Warren,Sheridan,Circleville, Unioto, etc. teams that are perennially ranked in the top ten.

DIII has some of the top teams in the state, but have more opportunities to get out. Arguably, DIII Southeast is as tough as any district in the state.
Belpre found that out when the played Adena and ZT. Who are the equivalent of CH and Warren. Meigs just sees those teams a couple of rounds earlier.

Good luck Eagles, rumor is your heading to the Hocking Division anyway.

Wow you gave me one year's bracket? I'm not just talking about last year, SLICK!

I would love to see Belpre in the Hocking. That would really bring the Federal Hocking rivalry to a head!!

I still say they will underachieve in the league and are no better than a 3rd place TVC Ohio team this year.

League could be interesting, not good, but interesting.

1. Meigs
2. Wellston
3-5. Belpre
3-5. Alexander
3-5. Vinton Co.
6. Nelsonville

I dont even know other than Meigs will win it. They are in a league by themselves this year. The rest of the league is a complete toss up.

Considering number of postseason wins in the last 6 seasons;

Belpre 8
Meigs 2

Thanks for the facts TVC, this was getting a little stupid. Anyhow, my only question is, with all of the pride and post season success, why doesn't Belpre drag their field? Give the kids a sense of pride in where they play.

Go Eagles!

I was amazed to see a play clock at the VC/Belpre football game Friday night. Why wasn't that money spent on the Baseball program at Belpre? At least some fresh paint for the dugouts, some grass seed or maybe a new drag, because the old one must be broke, because it never gets used.
