Meigs won 2-1. Wellston had a chance to win with bases loaded and two outs but just couldn't get the run in.

It was a pitcher's duel @ Wellston tonight. The score was tied 1 to 1 after the first inning. Then about the 4th inning I believe, sophomore Ryan Jeffers had a solid hit up the middle, to score Aaron Story, who was on third. This gave Meigs the 2 to 1 lead. Wellston threatened again in the final inning with bases loaded and 2 outs. The final batter hit a ground ball down the 3rd base line, with Corey Hutton making the play to end the game. Final score, Meigs 2 Wellston 1. Brian Delong pitched a great game for Meigs, with Austin Dunfee coming in the final inning to get the save. Wellston also pitched well. I don't know the pitcher's name. Perhaps a Wellston fan, can fill in the info. Great job Meigs. Now get the bats going. You are going to have to start hitting the ball a lot better, if your winning ways are to continue.
