Did this game happen last night? If so, who won?

Webster won the game. I think I heard Webster was in the 20s and East in the single digits

A very sad game for the Tartans.. IMO the coach might want to mix things up with his line up evidently his usual players aren't producing right now and if your that far down in the game why not let they boys play that are usually sitting the bench..They can't hurt anything to bad if they are that far down..At least your giving them some experience out there in the field..I know there are some good players sitting on the bench and he should give them a shot and see if they make a difference if your already losing the game so bad that there is no way of catching up..Especially if some of your normal starters are making error after error.. They are all a great bunch of boys and players but the coach should mix it up a little bit and see if someone can make a difference out there..

Disgruntled Parent? :12223
Advice: This is not little league, support your team, let the coach coach, and cheer for them in a respective manner. Pretty simple advice. I am so tired of seeing parents use this as a venting place for their kid not getting equal time!!

Sounds like it. One of the toughest jobs is coaching (not to mention most are coaching for peanuts and do so for the love of the game). I have often wondered how it would be if only players, coaches, and blue were at the games and it was a parent/"fan" free environment. Most parents would need to be medicated if that ever happened.

East has a great baseball coach in Lance Davis. All conference player from the burg and played college ball at Rio Grande. He will do great things for that program aslong as the parents support him in his efforts (hint).

I think sblover has a point. What will it hurt. Good time to get the younger players some playing time against a good team. Why take a chance on hurting your starters in a blow out game?

I can tell ya, at East it would be the same....because not long ago it was like that at East, why you ask because they were lucky to win a game even though talent was there coaching was not. Lance is there and has to rebuild not just a team but a whole program. East baseball pretty much went down hill around 2001-2002 and it didn't help when they were losing games by 10-15 runs every game. They may have gave up 20 to Webster but they have also been in alot of games this year also I believe led Notre Dame til the 6th inning, was up on Paint Valley I believe @ Paint Valley til late in the game. He is even pitching a freshman who has had some good outings.
