Minford vs. West Monday April 14

Should be a tight game the way west has been playing...but they arent consistant with their games getting beat by burg 12-0 and waverly 1-0

If West pitches Bricker he will keep it close although he falls off a bit after about 4 innings. West does not have enough offensive firepower against solid pitching to do too much damage. So Minford should not have a problem here. The Minford hitters will be challenged against one of the top pitchers in the area. A good test prior to the Burg/Minford match next week.

It is a little to early to start talking about this game. Minford has a tough game with Waverly tonight and they play a double header with Eastern on Saturday. I will say that if Minford plays like they are capable of, then they will win this game rather easily. But, lets not get to far ahead of ourselves.

It's gameday!! Weather permitting, this game will be worth coming out to see. The Falcons are playing good baseball and from what I hear, so is West. Most likely a Farmer vs. Bricker pitching matchup but you never know...I expect the Falcons to pull this one out. Go Falcons!!

West is a much improved ball club over the past couple of years. I was very impressed with the discipline they showed last week against Burg, hustling, instead of walking on and off the field and taking pride in the way they played. Bricker did throw a nice game against us, just ran out of gas. I look for the Falcons to win this one.

They were supposed to go over spring break but I think because of the snow days they couldn't make the trip then. I would say with the Burg game coming up in a few days, the Falcons will probably pitch 'Torch' Johnson. 'Torch' has been pitching very consistantly the last few games he's seen the mound and I think he will be good enough to hold off west's weak offense. As for Bricker pitching, if the Falcons can score a few runs early in the game it will be difficult for Bricker to recover, because it seems that he gets frustrated when behind. Falcons should win this one easily, 12-1

OUTSTANDING win for the Falcons tonight. I was personally very concerned about the Falcons possibly "overlooking" this West ball club with Wheelersburg on the horizon. But, behind a masterful pitching performance by Farmer, the Falcons showed that they would not take this West team lightly. I believe that Farmer pitched a 2 hitter. Could be wrong but, I am pretty sure about that. Robbie "Jungle Cat" Matheny had a nice hitting performance and the Falcons looked very primed for a HUGE showdown with the "evil empire". Lets keep this great season rollin' and continue the winning ways.

this game was a game b/t two of the top pitchers in the soc and it showed by the score...farmer threw a 1 hitter as bricker tried to keep up...both pitchers threw a heck of a game to keep their teams as close to each other as they could...matheny was 3-3 on the night and oesch caught a very good game behind hte plate

not that any of this matters anymore now that the game is over, but those some of those west kids have NO class. they were talking 'smack' the whole game, and couldn't even back it up! on a few occasions i saw one kid in particular running his mouth to Farmer when he was warming up between innings. the kid then couldn't even catch up to Farmers fastball and then was very late on the very next pitch, which was an offspeed pitch. if your going to act all cool and run your mouth, make sure you can back it up!!!

same ol', same ol'. Until they decide to change their attitude they will continue to struggle. Same thing went on in the Burg game as the SS was saying a few explatives to the base runners and over throwing the 1st baseman toward the end of the game to try and peg the Burg players standing behind the dugout fence. Nice, huh?
