Wheelersburg Baseball 2012
The Burg surprised many by making it to Columbus last year after being hit hard by graduation a couple years back. The team loses only 3 seniors, however two of them were Luster and Parsley who were both big bats to the team. I look for this years team to reload strong though and possibly make another run to the state tournament. Thoughts?

HAHAHAH Until someone knocks them off Burg is the team to beat in DIII SE District.
However, those are some key loses.

I'm my opinion I look for Burg to run the table again! They have all the tools a coach that is probably the best in Southern Ohio if not all Ohio! They have experience and the coaching staff to lead them all the way back to Columbus!
Re: Wheelersburg Baseball 2012
Yes, Luster and Parsley were some key losses, but so was the other senior, starting right fielder and middle of the lineup hitter - J-Rod Timberlake. Those 3 guys will surely be missed, but the Pirates are going to work hard and do their best to reach the team goals that are there every year.

Re: Wheelersburg Baseball 2012
i honestly think a person could stop following baseball in this area for 10 years then log into this website and pick Wheelersburg as the team to beat in the entire SOC and probably be dead on with that guess. as long as i can remember Wheelersburg has been one of the top teams in the area, if not THE top team in the area. what do they serve for lunch at the schools? lol
Re: Wheelersburg Baseball 2012
Whose playing what positions for this team this year, this team should be really good- a lot of talent all the way down to the younger kids in the freshman group. Any thoughts

Re: Wheelersburg Baseball 2012
Its baseball season now- should be getting the bball players in a few days- loads of talent- Go Burg
Re: Wheelersburg Baseball 2012
Seen about 35 athletes on the field tonight- looking really good- Go Burg :122249
Re: Wheelersburg Baseball 2012
Glad to hear that the team has been getting to practice outside! How have things been looking?
Re: Wheelersburg Baseball 2012
Burg loaded this season. A lot of experience and depth. No real power threat in the four spot. Defensively really tough. Pitching should be good, but several soc teams have good pitching. Shoukdnbe fun to watch.
Re: Wheelersburg Baseball 2012
I think with the bbcor bats this year high school baseball is going to be based on execution. If a kid hits a homerun from what I've seen with the bats he has earned it.
