For the second time in three years, Western has cancelled their game with St. Joe with a lame excuse of no coaches available to coach and a couple kids going to a track meet. Last time it was not enough pitching. Plus, this time, they waited until 5 hours before the game and called to cancel. Wow.

Believe me I am not looking to get control! Yes, I made it to enough baseball games last year. I agree that it could be improved upon. As for me doing "research" I have to admit I am clueless what you're talking about...? I doubt that I have enough connections to try to influence the board to hire or fire anyone and I have no reason to care whether they have a biddy ball program or not. I simply think it's to the benefit of all the kids if there is one. I'm merely stating my take on it.

After what I have seen i do not see them going to state or even coming close to winning SOC I. They have been gettin ten run ruled amost every game. There team has poor sportsmanship too. Best of luk to em but its not going to happen.

I agree with you about not winning state or SOC but I dont think that laughing at them is very mature.And they dont have bad sportsmanship.What tells you that they have bad sportsmanship? Im not trying to start a fight or arguement, I just wanted to state my opinion.And I will admit that they could do a lot better if they tried harder.Im not saying that everyone on the team is like that but most of them dont care if they win or lose.They act like they are there because they have nothing better to do.I dont think you should laugh at them though.

i think in one or 2 years western baseball will be good. i think the only thing wrong with them now is lack of knowlege of the game. I will tip my hat to western because in all of the games they got so called run ruled THEY NEVER GAVE UP GOOD FOR YOU WESTERN

I agree.We have one senior 2 juniors 2 sophmores and 8 or 9 freshman.They will be good in a few years.BTW good game last night deweese.

Honestly, they are playing with a JV team right now. That is not a slam on the kids they are young and inexperienced. The team should have played a JV schedule this year and build from there. It will be hard to peak the kids interest and recruit with the team getting beat like this. Good luck to them. I would hope no one is enjoying watching a group of kids going through this.......

My hat goes off to you young men at Western, you all played a very good ball game last night. I know you are a young and inexperienced ball team, but you are improving each day by putting in the hard work. Keep your heads up and continue to work hard and stay with it, for I forsee good things in the future for Western Baseball!!!!

I will agree with coach Martin. I play for Eastern I played right field on thursday. and i will admit it was a close game western stayed in it throughout the game. But we also played a great game. good game western
