Re: POST 23 Game updates
Thanks for the support bucknut23!
Freesafety, I do not believe Noel is going to play football this year at ND. White, Kemper and Oesch do play as you mentioned.
I am glad we have had the chance to play Legion ball and get to know the players from other schools and families so much better. It has been an experience that the Bama household will never forget.

Re: POST 23 Game updates
Coach Brannon is a class act and his kids follow his lead.
As a legion umpire, I was impressed with the quality of coaches and kids I saw this summer in this area.
It was a joy to umpire this year in the districts because of the quality of people I dealt with this year.

Re: POST 23 Game updates
It's been this way for years though and it's not going to change now. We all know that once it's the actual date to start all football coaches are eager to get going. Hopefully, all things work out for the best.
This is a great reward for these players and coaches on a good Legion season and nice District 7 Tournament run.

Re: POST 23 Game updates
Reading between the lines, it sounds like Wests' football coach forced Bricker and Journey to quit. Is that correct?
Re: POST 23 Game updates
Yep thats the way I feel, also. They was 2 very nice young men. That cost us 2 good outfielders an 1 of our left handed pitchers. But I wish them well in their football season, an look forward to seeing them again in the spring on a baseball field. Just wished that they were both there to enjoy the end result of there hard work just like the rest of the young men on the Post 23 team.

Re: POST 23 Game updates
Can anyone tell me why the American Legion State Tournament starts so much later than the District Tourny Post 23 played in?
Re: POST 23 Game updates
Bryan said that Coach Woodward told him to just keep winning games, and be there when he could. And we expected nothing different from Coach Woodward. But he knows he will have to run some for missing, and that is ok. My oldest son Brandon went to state his senior year with Post 757 when Post 23 did not have a team then, and all he had to do is run some too. Was worth it he said. I find it hard to believe than any coach would tell a player to choose or he was going to be cut from the team. Most coaches will tell you that they don't like it, but they understand the situations. But that is just my honest opinion on the whole coach saying that the player has to choose.
Baseballfan61, I agree, Baseball should be 12 months out of the year! And football should be every Friday night
Good Luck to Post 23

Re: POST 23 Game updates
Does anyone have any information of a radio station that is web casting/streaming the tournament games? Especially Post 23's games!

Re: POST 23 Game updates
oldtrojan, I am not sure if any games are being streamlined. You may want to check the state Amercian Legion website and see if you can find out anything. Listed below you will see the games and times thanks to sportfolio.

Re: POST 23 Game updates
Back in the day, WNXT and Roger Gray and the crew broadcasted all of the State Legion Tourney games. They would also do about 30 regular season games as well.
