"The best he can" seems to be pretty darn good. Isn't burg 9-0 in conference? I would rather see someone like Chris go to a program that needs some work. Baseball is slowing down in southern ohio. Need good coaches to start building it back up. Not always go to the best on the block. Just an opinion. No offense.Bleeding Red wrote:It's my opinion based on what I've seen and also knowing Chris. They should have went with Chris when they were able to go outside the district employees to make the hire. Chris has been involved with the program for several years and would have done a good job. Too much stock was put into reaching toward Burg for a coach. Nothing against Hopper, I'm sure he is doing the best he can.Crab's Brother wrote:What have you seen in the games you have attended make you think that?Bleeding Red wrote:Minford should have hired Chris Davis instead of trying to bring in Burg blood.

Congrats to the SOC II Champion Wheelersburg Pirates!
Wheelersburg has seen 4 quality starting pitchers this week and has scored 37 runs in the four games.
Their first loss of the season was to Jonathan Alder who is #1 in Ohio in Division 2. Burg scored 7 runs in that game and errors cost them at the end of that one.
Two of the other losses were won but a couple mistakes here and there.
I've seen Burg several times this year and they are much better than the 16-4 record they have.
Go Burg! Looking to be a very promising tournament run!!!
