Minford climbs to 10-1 after a 4-0 shutout over Portsmouth West on Monday. They have a crucial game tomorrow (wednesday) with the Wheelersburg Pirates. It should be worth coming out to watch.

Zanesville now sits at 11-0 with a HUGE weekend ahead. Visit Warren Local tonight and play a 3 way with Watkins Memorial and Licking Valley tomorrow. Both those teams have had great seasons and great programs. Should be a great weekend for baseball. Go Devils!!

Yes, that is the actual score. Wheelersburg had 32 hits in this game and the score could have been a lot worse, but for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings the Burg coach only allowed his runners to advance one base at a time no matter how far of a hit it was. There were several that were obvious doubles and maybe even a triple on one hit that would have cleared the bases on several occassions, but they were held to singles and only one runner would score. Minford is not that bad of a team, but they just seemed to give up after they were down by 15 runs or so and made tons of mental mistakes. I'm sure the next matchup between these two will be a lot closer.

Zanesville Blue Devils now are 13-1 after a fairly successful weekend. They won Friday night at Warren Local 3-1. Also mercied Watkins Memorial 11-0 in five innings Saturday morning before surrendering their first loss of the year to Licking Valley in the second half of a 3-way DH 3-2. The blue devils will be @ Logan on Monday.
