Marietta's Evan Brockmeier shut down the Warriors for a 3-1 Tiger win. Zach Heath pitched his second great game of the season but suffered the loss due to lack of run support. It was a well played game by both teams.

Warren Local 5
Parkersburg South 2

The Warriors moved their home game to Parkersburg South and eeked out a hard fought 5-2 win. Unfortunately it may have come at a high price. Tyler Proctor, who had come in to pitch in relief, was settling under a pop up along the first base foul line, but in foul territory, when the batter/runner lowered his helmet and brought his fists up into Tyler face. It was blatant and bush league. The batter was called out but remained in the game. Tyler was taken to the hospital with lacerations to his tongue and a possible concussion. Our prayers are with you TP.

Justin Petitt started pitching and threw a great game. Warren played another solid defensive game.

Wednesdays game with Athens has been cancelled because of league obligations for Athens, so Warren's only other scheduled game this week is Friday at Logan. We will be 3 weeks into the season and have played 6 games. This is not good.

The word on TP is the roof of his mouth is fractured. Our prayers are with you Tyler.

Just heard from TP's Mom, after going to a specialist in Morgantown it has been determined that there is no fracture! This is great news.

It doesn't look good for the Warriors game at Zanesville. Any update on the weather or field?

Warren beat Logan 8-1 this evening. The Warriors looked like a team that hasn't played in a week but got the bats going in the bottome of the 6th to open up a close game. Zach Heath pitched another great game, going the distance and picking up the win.

Warren 11
Meigs 12

Warren gave up a 9-1 lead in the 5th inning. Tough loss for the Warriors without 3 players that had a school commitment they had to attend. Give Meigs credit, they could have rolled over and quit but kept battling and knocked the cover off the ball the last 3 innings. Warren has a tough league game today with Marietta.

Warren 0
Marietta 12

Too much Evan Brockmeier in this one. When Warren did hit the ball hard it was back up the middle and EB snagged it every time. Very impressive performance with the glove on the mound.

Zanesville handed the Warriors a 9-0 loss. I wasn't able to attend, anyone have details?
