I think Jackson's feild is better then Vinton Co.I agree Waverly by far the worst.I have not had the occasion to visit Minford's place, maybe this spring I'll make the trip over. Cap'n is right Warren HS is a great place to sit and watch a game, bring you lawn chair and can't beat the veiw.

Athens still has a pretty good field.
Not as good as it used to be though.

Maybe you should take another look at Athens High's field. Gibby and his crew have really improved it in the last couple of years.

I was there over the summer and I was not impressed with the field. Now while watching legion ball I thought the field at Eastern in Meigs County was nice. I also thought the field was very nice at Racine. When they said that was the first year it had been grass I was shocked. The playing surface itself was very nice, as well as the dugouts but seating and pressbox were not very good at all.

Memphis-
You have a right to your opinion but I just don't see how you can compare Athens to Eastern or Southern.

I won't say anything bad about the fields because I know how much work people put into them but... JMO

There was a lot of hard work by community members, coaches and athletes in to making that field what it is... MY freshman year was the first year for the new outfield fence, my sophmore year was the new year for the extensions to the fence overlooking the backstop (River swallowed foul balls LOL), Junior year was the year of the new, much more roomy dugouts and for my senior year we finally got a grass infield... The grass thats in the infield is the grass we used to make the warning track... amazing what a saud cutter can do and some hard work... lol and the red clay and mound was a great addition... The field has really transformed into a gem since ive been there... From what i hear, bullepens are the next thing to go up... There was a flood my freshman year in racine that put the field about ten foot inder water... i guess some of the silt made the grass really nice... lol... As for the bleachers and press box... if we had the money theyd be nicer lol... The press box is all someone needs to broadcast a game on the radio and the bleachers are the ones we drag down from the football field...LOL :)

Easterns is really kept nice as well. coach bowen does a great job of keeping it nice.
Lucasville Valleys field was also nice, we played our district semifinals game there last season and got a joy of playing there, facilities are nice as well,
Minford is a good place to play to for legion ball.

Other places i think that have nice fields (That ive been to) are Athens, Unioto, Jackson, and Beaver Easterns (Beaver easterns has great potential to be a, awesome field in the next few years
