New firebrick was placed inside the fence of the boy's field. It was put on the mound and homeplate. The old firebrick of the girl's field was put outside the fence.

If the Kretzer kid is as good as what I hear, he will be starting in the infield somewhere.

From what I hear, Kretzer can play and start in any sport. He would make an excellent second baseman.

I think they will do pretty good. They have a kidnamed Seth Cook.Im not sure what grade he is in but he is a well rounded player.Hitting well over .500.Could pretty much play any position.

Seth played pony league at Waverly this past summer. He opened enrolled in Waverly and has recently moved into the district. He did attend Nob's conditioning during September and October.

Teeters, R. Tackett, and Roback pitch. The Tigers will be fine with pitching.

Maybe a couple others might step up from the Junior Varsity squad.

Back to my original question...Does anyone know who will be coaching Waverly's reserve team this Spring?

I think Bill Kelly will be doing the JV duties as he did last year, but I'm not too sure on that.

Waverly travels to Greenfield on Saturday, April 4th for a tri. The other team that will be there will be DI Fairborn. Should be a great day of baseball.
10 a.m. Waverly v. McClain
12:30 p.m. Waverly v. Fairborn
3:00 p.m. Fairborn v. McClain
Fairborn is coached by Rob Smith who had a lot of success at Washington Court House over the years.
McClain went 16-11 last year but lost 7 seniors from that squad. They will be young but pretty solid.

Stellar pitching rotation for the Tigers. Robertson, Teeters, Tackett, Roback and Martin. Can't remember a Waverly team so deep in pitching. Maybe Monroe remembers a group as good and deep.

soccerfix,
id say coach nob would be able to give some examples of other teams with deeper/better pitching.
The 2002 and 2003 back to back soc championship teams were pretty deep (Kelley, Fyffe, Osborne, Childers, Lightle)

As to the JV duties, I have been told Joey Hartsock will be the head JV coach.
From what I hear Bill will not be coaching, as he will be traveling with his son Devin in AAU.

All those years playing baseball to be thrown away on AAU :122246
Don't these kids realize that baseball is their ticket to get anywhere?
Not Basketball or Football?

there was this one kid a couple years ago who did pretty good at QB and got a nice little ticket in football.....but those are few and far between....baseball is by far the best chance for a high school athlete
