I'll throw John Shoemaker in the list.
Played for Waverly, I believe his is still managing the Dodgers Double A team.

He would be a great all time coach for this team, but I think there are a few others that would have to be mentioned as well.

John played in the early 70's when Waverly was in the SEOAL and dominating the basketball championships.

Just as I have said before, no one around here has hit 90 in a long time. My best guess as to the last person to hit 90 would have been former Wheelersburg pitcher Josh Newman(I belive he is currently with the K.C. Royals). I'm not positive that he ever hit 90, but Kier threw mid to low 80's.

i played with josh newman, he never hit 90 in high school. he has hit 90 since then, but not durring high school.
but durring the same time period i will say that i know for a fact that a boy from symes valley did hit 90, more than once. he was drafted but had major control problems and got cut.

i believe symmes valley had a couple of pitchers who've hit 90 over the last 10-15 or so years. myers and patterson.

Myers from S. Valley was definately in the 90's. Pierce from New Boston could throw hard don't know if he hit 90's or not.

Another name from Wheelersburg that hasn't been mentioned yet, and this is from the 70's, is Brian Bays. I believe Brian was all state his senior year and he was just one hell of an athlete that excelled at every sport he played.
