Gallipolis split with Ironton, losing 8-4 and winning nightcap, 11-1 to improve to 11-2 on the year and 7-1 in South Division play. Will play at Warren May 5 for overall title.

CONGRADULATION WARRIORS..... Nice game against Marietta, stayed focused even with the delay and played a solid defensive game. Zach pitched a great game and the bats came alive even at the bottom of the lineup.

In satuardays games vs BELPRE the bats were still hot which lead to two blow outs. The defence looked a little stale or to lax, but was more than enough to hinder BELPRE. I dont think Belpre had much gas in the tank on the pitchers , but we were in the same position. Dakota and Ian pitched solid games, gave them pitches they had to hit thats called pitching.

Warren vs. Zanesville has become a pretty good rivarly espicially with both of them having such success over the last few years. Both programs seem to reload every year.

WARREN 16
CHILLY 6

Warren got hr from PROCTOR , and KNOST while Chillicothe had a grand slame. At one point the game was tight at 6 to 5 but Warren kept bringing hot bats to the plate. The Warriors outscored the Cavs 10 to 1 over the next 3 innings. Had a scary moment late in the game with a ball hit up the middle, and the 2nd baseman and SS collided hitting heads. Zack ok, Tripp possible ear drum rupture. Our prayers are with you Tripp.
:-D Another GOOD GAME

Yes Zanesville does have a solid team but I think the Warriors can take them if we play them a third time.

After losing all those seniors, if you would have asked me in August if I thought the '10 Baseball Warriors would have clinched the division title the third week of April and be this good, I would have laughed and politely said something about great upcoming talent. Go get em, Blue!

BTW....Farr...nice move on Pifer's part. He deserved it in the first place. But that's water under the bridge.

Coach Farr has been very instramental to the Warriors success this season. He has taken on a young group that has worked hard and give 100% on the field. The players like playing together as one unit ( as a team ). Coach Farr has been very positive with this bunch with his coaching style and it has paid big dividends up to this point. There is much hard work and improvement to be done. There is a couple of hard weeks ahead of us yet. Keep focused and keep working hard. A 20 Win season is still obtainable. Like WHSwarrior said " Who would of thought ".

Coach Farr, Keep them boyz in Blue focused and good luck the rest of the way!!!!!!!

What was the reason for the postponement? Surely it wasn't the weather!

Unfortunately, you won't play us a third time unless it's in the tournament. And you won't face our sophomore No. 4 starter, then, either. But I will say the Warriors team I saw last Monday was far better than the one I saw a couple weeks back.

WARRIORS WIN TOUGH ONE

Visiting Federal Hocking came in with a record of 13 and 3 and in first place in their division of the TVC. It was the type of game that was going to be decided by the last at bat. Hits and runs, good defence, balls bouncing over the fence, and outfielders crashing into them. FH took an 8 to 7 lead in the top of the 7th. In the bottom of the 7th FH brought in Thompson to close the game (their ace), he struck out the first batter on 4 pitches. Henthorn ripped a liner to left, Ward worked a walk, Proctor shot one up the middle to tie the game, Thompson struck out Kern to set up the end. Zack Heath who was already 3 for 3 with a hr, and 2 doubles came to the plate with 2 on and 2 out, and the bottom of the last inning. This is what most ballplayers dream about. Zach finished that dream with a walk off liner to right field to score the winning run from 2nd. WOW
THATS BASEBALL
Game could have gone either way. Good game and good team Federal Hocking

Sportsfan,

Glad to hear that the boys in Blue are doing well. I hope that they make it far into the postseason as they seem to be a young team. I'm also glad that you have calmed down from a long basketball season and have been able to enjoy the baseball season. Well keep the updates coming and good luck to the Warriors.

Bluemoon,

79 and myself will try to keep u and a few others updated as we try to finish up strong on a good season so far. Not to many people follow baseball like other sports, but hey, its America's past time. I'm super glad that CC doesn't follow baseball at all. I had enough of his opinions during basketball.

Coach Farr has been doing a great job with this young group of boyz!!!

@ South tonite and @ Athens tomorrow. Two tough ones. See ya.

The Warriors won again tonight, Beating Parkersburg South by a score of 7-2. Jace Knost was home sick. Hope He's feeling better tomorrow for the trip to Athens. T-J Ward did a nice job in centerfield. If The bats stay HOT I like our chances tomorrow night. Great Job Coach Farr and Great Job Boys!!! Keep the W's comin.
