Wheelersburg, Portsmouth, Zane Trace Tri-Match 4/12/08

Wheelersburg, Portsmouth and Zane Trace will square off on Saturday in a tri-match at Zane Trace HS. I believe Burg is scheuled to play at 11am and 3pm. Not sure about Portsmouth.

Portsmouth is a bit inconsistent so far with some decent wins but also a couple unexpected loses and Zane Trace is playing solid baseball as always. This will be a good judge to where Wheelersburg and Zane Trace stand at this part of the season. Will also be a good tune-up to prepare Burg for the upcoming Minford game next week.

Zane Trace will be a tough test for the Pirates. As far as Portsmouth is concerned, they have been really inconsistent as of late so I don't know how they will matchup. But, Zane Trace will give burg all they can handle.

I heard rumor today that it may be at the VA. I am waiting for confirmation. If it is at the VA these games will be played tomorrow.

bulldog,,thats what I wa thinking..we played up there last week, when in rained like hell all day long,,,,,as soon as the rains stopped we was on the fields..I love watching games there.

The coach and his ground crew (wife) were mowing grass about 7pm. There was a good amount of rain today, but the field dries quickly.

just got off the phone,,,,,Portsmouth lost both games,,not sure of the scores,,,he did tell me Burg run ruled Portsmouth,and also said Burg won pretty easy over Zane Trace also.
