Wheelersburg advances to play SP at 5:30 Tuesday. Ironton advances to play Green at 8:00 pm Tuesday.

Rock Hill will play the loser of Ironton and Green on Thursday. Fairland will play the loser of Wheelersburg and SP on Thursday.

Hat, do we only have 6 teams in the Jr. tourney?

OUCH! That sounds like a typical score for SP in the regular season as well. SP just couldn't get a very competitive team together this year for some reason!

That is true BamaMike. Started the draw with 8 but lost Portsmouth and Chesapeake. Symmes Valley played regular season in Lawrence County but didn't play post season. I think it was South Webster and Northwest in Scioto County who played regular season but didn't play post season.

Here are the results from Tuesday night.

Wheelersburg 21 South Point 3.

Ironton 5 Green 4.

Green will play RH at 5:30 Thursday.

Fairland plays SP at 8:00 Thursday.

The winners of that game will play at 10:00 am on Friday the 4th.

Ironton and Wheelersburg will play at 12:30 pm on Friday the 4th.

It was a VERY nice evening at the ballpark on an off the field!!

Where is the junior league tournament being played?

At the Ironton LL complex.

pitching is the problem with south point.
the one kid that we relied on to throw strikes arm started hurting in the 1st inning in which we were ahead 3-0.
cant win if you dont throw strikes....period

Concerning South Point, I would like to say something to those kids. After the season you guys has (including NO REAL UNIFRORMS) I think its wonderful you guys are NOT dropping out of the Jr. League Tourney. THese guys have shown nothing but class and determination for what had to be a difficult year. No matter what the score was these kids seemed to have fun the whole season. I think that says a lot for their character, and maybe some other players and parents can see thru those guys that having fun should still be important. Congrats and continue to hold your heads up for all life throws at you.

Rock Hill plays Fairland Friday 7/4 at 10:00 am.

Ironton plays Wheelersburg Friday 7/4 at 12:30 pm.

Games cancelled for the day due to rain and wet conditions.

Rescheduled as follows;

RH vs. Fairland Saturday Noon.

Ironton vs. Wheelersburg Saturday 2:30.

Did Seagraves forget that there is a District 11 tournment at Ironton because he did not send any umpires to the games. I feel that it being a championship game they should have District 11 umpires NOT Ironton umpires. If I was coaching for the Burg I would demand different umps.
