I have not seen anybody posting about Valley baseball this season. What are the expectations for this season in Lucasville? Who are the key returning players? Which underclassmen are expected to make an impact?

some things can be known without saying, valley as in the
past will be a fundamental baseball team with coach schuler
at the helm. they will accomplish and pay attention to the
little things that help to a successful year.

There is one thing for sure about Valley Baseball and that is they are well prepared.
They will not come on a site like this and talk up how good they are or who the best player on the team is. They will show up and you better not make any mistakes, because if you do, they will win.

Seems to be common this season. W'Burg at 24 kids out, Minford numbers down and no JV team. I would bet that Webster, Oak Hill and West may not have JV teams either.

I think Valley is going to try to play some JV games, it is a shame that the numbers are so down county wide.

I have gotten to know Coach Schuler pretty well in the past few years and I can tell you his kids WILL BE better at the end of the year than they are at the beginning. He and his staff put in long hours and work on solid fundamental baseball. IMO, that is why is has the program that he does. It is always a joy to talk baseball or go against his Indians because you know the kids are going to respect the game and play it the way it is supposed to be played. Good luck this year.

Could not agree more with you. Ive known Coach Schuler since I was in grade school and his team's have always played hard, fundamental baseball, which I love. This dedication is never more evident in last season's Minford- Valley games. The first game Minford routed the Indians I think somewhere around 19 runs. The second meeting the Indians won by I believe a run to beat our team. They capitalized on early Falcon mistakes and just made the simple, fundamental plays there on out.

Coach Schuler is an awesome motivated person- hoping he stays around for legion ball again- what a great person who reallys love coaching and the boys who play the game for him. What a motivator! Love the whistling, (war crys) boys respond well to it

Yes congrats to Coach Schuler and the Indians. West will live and die by the arm of Bricker. When he is on the mound they have a chance to beat a good team but later innings may prove to be the difference.

Valley has a great mixture of young talent and experienced talent. This years team will be fun to watch for several reasons. They have tremendus team speed and the kids are very energetic. They love to play ball and know the game too. They have two good juniors pitchers with four sophmores that start. Valley has only 4 seniors with two of them seeing most of the action. Should be a very promising year for the Indians. The key to their offense will be their lead-off hitter, if he gets on watch out. He is very powerful. Good luck Indians
