Wade Kaido(JR) pitched 3 perfect innings before giving up a bleeding single to right in the 4th. He finished 4 innings 1 hit, 0 BB, 6 K's. Sophomore Andy Paxson gave up 1 hit in the 5th in relief.
(Z) Wade Kaido 3-4 with 3 HR's 7 RBI's
Kurt Young 3-3 with a walk. 3 Singles 3 Runs scored
Zach Pollock 2-3 Double and Single
Shane Biles 1-3 Triple
Zanesville looked very dominant in this from the beginning. 3 Bombs by Kaido to left.....the first hit the foul pole the second and third were NO DOUBTERS.
Coach Dave Balo wins his 100th game.

I did some looking this morning and I can not find anything on single-game home run records at ZHS. My guess is that Wade's three would be it, but that's very unofficial. I did see the highlights on WHIZ this morning, and those were the definition of "bombs."
Pretty good day overall for ZHS baseball. JV team had a freshman lefty -- Jeff Suciu -- toss a 7-inning no-hitter with 13 k's and two walks. Two other baserunners on airmailed throws off slow rollers. ZHS wins 3-0 at home. Meadowbrook pitchers did a heckuva job inducing about 1,000 ground balls. Seemed like it, anyway!
