Re: All TVC OHIO predictions
Wellston will have I think four selections by finishing in 2nd place outright.
Athens will have the most, and if Belpre and Wellston tie for 2nd place which can still happen, I think they get 3 apiece. Not exactly sure though.
Wellston won't get fewer selections than Belpre let's put it that way.

This can't be a secret any longer. I was there and even I don't know everybody that got on this team. Athens got five players since they finished first. Jared Cline, who was also the defensive player of the year. He went 6-0 and hit .426. Doug Chapman, who hit .429, Dean Maffin, who went 4-0 with a 1.815 ERA and hit .317, Kyle Dean, who I felt was the best catcher in the league(no past balls and very few stolen bases were even tried in the league games), and Greg Pach, who had an on base average of .585 and had an outstanding year in centerfield.
Maybe the rest of the coaches can tell us who made it for them since the media will probably get around to this when it fits their schedule since they had to hold it until every team was out of the tournament.

Re: All TVC OHIO predictions
Bulldog64....This was my post to Steely Dan on the softball forum on Tuesday night June 2. The ADs haven't even received the all-league lists yet, let alone the TVC media despite some TVC media attempts trying to find it. This post pretty much sums up what is going on.
The league is responsible for sending these things out. Apparently, yet unfortunately, it's not that important to the league.
I do know the Wellston kids which made all-TVC baseball: seniors Matt Lockard and Slone Cales and juniors Jeff Matteson and Ryan Darnell.
Hope the post below helps out:
Steely Dan....I received word today that the all-TVC softball and baseball lists have not even been distributed to the league ADs yet!
For some strange reason, the TVC has little-to-no interest in publicizing its athletes. It is in no hurry to make the all-league lists public, nor even officially announcing the all-Sports Trophy standings!
When your league will not even release its all-league lists until ALL league teams in a particular season are out of the tournament, then.....................
For example, the TVC media had to wait until Alexander volleyball was finished with the state tournament before we even saw any of those fall lists.
It's reached the point for me that it's time to write a column about this. TVC won't like it, but the TVC media outlets don't like trying to play search-and-rescue with these all-league lists either.

Re: All TVC OHIO predictions
Thanks Keyser for listing those names for Wellston.
In addition Matt Lockard was the offensive MVP after posting over a .500 batting avg and a school record .983 slugging pct.
Cales and Lockard were also named first team all-district.
The team had an overall record of 20-8.
The team also reached the district final.
Great season for Wellston baseball.
With a strong returning cast and basically after playing a young team this season Wellston has an opportunity to be very good next season.
