Wheelersburg is scheduled to travel to Waverly today to complete the final conference game of the season.

Wheelerburg can claim a share of the SOC title with a win and Waverly can win the title outright. This game probably has lost some of its luster due to both have regional semi games to play on Thursday.

IMO neither team will throw their ace in this one. Probably not even their #2. I look for Burg to have sophomore Luster or senior closer Feeman on the mound in this one. Not sure who Waverly will throw.

Hopefully the rain will hold off long enough that they can finally get this game played.

If I had to guess and that's what I am doing, I'd say Teeters will pitch for Waverly. Dont know until they start warming up and head to the mound.

I hope this game is able to be played. I am sure that both team are ready to get this game over with and worry about their regional games. I look for Waverly to pitch Martin or Teeters. I am 99% sure that Robo will not pitch an inning in this game. Good luck to both teams but I am pulling for the Tigers. Hopefully the Tigers will be able to pull out the win instead of having to share the title with Wheelersburg. Lets wish for some dry weather today, so we can get this game in.

Doesn't look good on the radar right now. It looks like a pretty big storm is getting ready to move through Waverly and quite a few in line right behind it.

Any news on the rain? Portsmouth just got hammered.

From the radar there is a big rain cell over Waverly that lingers around till about 6:45pm according to the weather channel.

It's a down poor here.

The Pirates are on the way according to the text my son just got from one of the players. We just had a really strong storm move through the Burg and it looks like it's heading straight up Rt 23. I hope they get this game in, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Waverly up 5-2 bottom of the 4th. Soph. Levi Underwood started for Tigers went first 3 innings Martin pitching now.

I don't think Waverly was up.

I left in the top of the 5th and Burg was up 5-3. Waverly's bats came alive in the bottom of the 4th and we plated three runs.

I didn't get any details, but the Pirates won 6-4 and get a share of the SOCII title.

Congrats to the boys and the coaching staff!!!

Also, congrats to the Tigers on the share of the title and good luck to both teams in thier quest for a state title.
