Tryouts/signups this Saturday 5pm and Sunday 5pm @ Wheelersburg High School I believe.

May want to give Coach Brannon a call to confirm.

Talked to coach Brannon, still looking for a Coach for the JR. team. If there is anybody looking to coach a very, very good team please contact Brannon. Schedule has are ready been made-up (35-40games) returning about 10 players from last years team and then also try-out this weekend. Please if anybody is out there lets give these boys a chance to play this year.

Sounds like a great job for Coach Heimbach or Coach Sutton.

Is Post 23 open for any other counties other than Scioto?

I think it depends on whether or not a post is already assigned to your county. Someone else can maybe shed more light on the subject.

Bleeding Red, I believe what Buldog said is accurate. In '94, we had a guy from Piketon on the team.

Kids in Lawrence county could play for Post 23.
All other counties have a team and would have to tryout to the legion closest to your home and then get a release from that post. Kind of late in the game to get this done.

What high schools are you talking about on the Portsmouth Legion team. I think Beverly/Lowell opens up with Portsmouth on June 2nd. B/L is Fort Frye, Marietta, Warren Local, Waterford, Monroe Central and Belpre. Belpre is fielding their own team this year so I doubt any of them come to B/L.
