I would like to say congratulations to the 2009 Wheelersburg Pirate baseball team. You had an outstanding 26-4 season returning only 3 full time starters and made a nice run in the Tourney. Only 3 games away from the state championship. Not too shabby. In your four seasons at Wheelersburg your teams have compiled a 53-3 conference record, an overall record of 101-14 and over 20 wins each season.

I would like to wish good luck to all the seniors, Matty, Nate, Justin, Aaron, Bryan, Brandon, Zach and Robbie, as they leave as Pirates and enter the world to find their new identity. (Hopefully still not Pirates )

Wow, very impressive record. Congrats on a great program. I am looking forward to watching some of these kids Tuesday in Beverly.

I knew when I was coaching these same kids in Little League that they would be a special group of kids and have great success at the high school level. They were great and very dedicated ball players then, and they were all through their high school careers as well. I know a few of them are going on to the next level to play ball and I wish them nothing but the best. I'm sure they will excell at college just as they have in the past.

Congrats to all involved in a great 2009 campaign. I know you fell a little short of the ultimate goal, but you still had a very successful season and the entire community is proud of you.

Good luck to the seniors in their future endeavors and to the underclassmen in the their next few years as a Pirate.

It was an absolute pleasure being around these guys and watching them play the game. I wish them all the best in their future and hope they continue to come around as much as they can in years to come. Great season.

I would like to offer my best wishes to this group of young men as well. I have been around almost every single one of them since they started in t ball. I have had the privilege to call these young men friends as well as their parents. You have accomplished much in your careers at Burg and I know you will have a great future ahead of you.
