should be interesting with the foul ball situation. i guess they are going to have to put up nets. may not have been the best location for a baseball field.

just heard that the new baseball field is going to be grass. i thought it was to be turf? what happened or was it never to be turf. it would be hard for ssu and portsmouth use it with grass infield.

Maybe it's 270' with a 40' wall in LF... That'd be sweet. I like the ramp up to the fence in CF like some of the new pro ball parks. I assume that will stay, correct?

I heard the same thing, that it will not have turf. Drove by the new facilities a few weeks ago, it is beautiful. Looking forward to going to some Friday night games and to watch the Trojans in action. Also, looking forward to seeing my old coach in a uni coaching again. Trojan baseball will be strong with a new coach and a new field. Go Trojans!

Was up at the Burg Little league game the other day and a Portsmouth team was playing, ask one of the parents what the kids thought of getting a new HS baseball coach, they said their kid said, we are getting some old man from Oak Hill. They will soon find out how much they are going to learn from the old man.-lol!!

...that's funny...

...if these kids want to compete with the likes of Wheelersburg, Zane Trace, etc. again who are lead by coaches such as Mike Estep and Ron Allen...then they will need Coach Tipton's leadership and expertise to teach them the game of baseball.

Is it official that Coach Tipton has been named?
