Re: 2009 State American Legion Tournament in Athens
Is there a rule that says teams or players are not allowed to leave the playing sites for the entire time they are still in the tournament or is it by team or post?
Re: 2009 State American Legion Tournament in Athens
From what I unstood from last yr, It was a state rule.

Troy is in District 3 -- Piqua defeated them
in the finals to represent the district this year
Yes, players are required to stay with the
team throughout the tournament

Will tickets be available at the game sites for individule games?
I may only be able to come down to Athens for 1, or 2 days.

The tickets are for the banquet. That's what is needed to be purchased from the team.

Sorry if I caused any confusion about the ticket information -- Thanks to those who offered iinformation
as has been noted all or the games are free and there is no charge for parking
the tickets are just for the Sunday banquet]
If any huddlers get to the games try to look me up .. I likely will he at Dalton Field if a game is going on
there and at the Athens High games if there is nothing at Dalton ....

Re: 2009 State American Legion Tournament in Athens
The tournament will continue until a winner is determined to advance to the Great Lakes Regional
We just have to hope for the best with the weather -- one year, there was rain all day Monday and Tuesday morning before any games could be played and the tournament did not finish until Sunday (I think back then, it was suppose to finish on Saturday).

Re: 2009 State American Legion Tournament in Athens
i am a bit confused with the first post. it has each team numbered, and shows what time each game is and has who plays who based on their number......but it also says pairings will be determined at the sunday banquet...can someone clear things up a bit? if i am reading it right post 23 plays at 9:30am, and if they win will play again at 7:30pm....i just want to make sure this is correct before i take off for athens early monday morning

parings will not be determined until the banquet tonight. It is an open draw so I'd say by 7pm everyone will know the times, opponent and where they will play.

Good Luck 23! Get to bed! I never was a fan at playing baseball at 930am. I can remember playing a game at 8am before though.
