There are going to be some very good baseball teams this spring in the Scioto Valley Conference.
It was a young league last year with a lot of key players returning for 2011.

Player of the league is back at Westfall with others. Best pitcher is at Piketon. Unioto and Adena will both be above average. Zane Trace has a lot of sticks with experience. SE has a bunch of seniors who have played forever.

It should be interesting. It may come down to coaching which is top of the line in this league.

I believe the league will be very competitive there are number of really good team and a lot of great players returning. Maybe one of the better years the SVC has ever had. I did get to see some games last spring and also was able to watch some of the kids play this past summer. I did not see the Wolfe kid pitch last spring however I seen him throw twice this summer once was a 9 inning complete game very impressive young man. I cannot wait to start watching this spring.

Wolfe is a great young man. He is what every coach wants their players to be like. Hardworking, tough kid that will do anything a coach asks of him.
As for the league, there are going to be some real battles this year. With players like Kirk Yates, Cottrill from SE, the Lefty from Piketon, Rose from Unioto, the youngster from ZT, there are some great arms in the league this season. The SVC is the best conference in SE Ohio when it comes to baseball. And lets not forget the coaching in the league. Taylor, Yates, the coach at Westfall, and Allen have proven year in and year out they get their teams ready to play. And now you throw Bumgardner at Piketon in, and Roy Kelly at SE, those 6 teams are going to be brutal to have to play on a daily basis. Best of luck this spring to all the teams.

This league in baseball is always very competitive. The coaching strategies also vary which make it interesting to watch.
