The Streaks got ten run both games against valley which is good.
I heard Zane Trace played decent against two good teams in court house and wheelersburg.
Two good wins for Unioto.

crack- Adena's wins are decent. Biggest thing is that it will help the league come tournament draw, as Lynchburg is usually one of the top teams from the SHL and they try to steal seeds(i.e. Lynchburg nearly got the 1 and 2 seeds last year, dropped to the 3 and was bounced by Huntington in the Sectionals)
Also, Paint Valley needs to get whatever wins they can outside the league play.
Big games on Monday:
ZT vs. Unioto
Adena vs. Piketon

It might sound weird, but I'm okay with teams scheduling light early in the season. In those games, you can build the confidence of hitters and pithers and get on a streak. I think that in baseball, you need to bulk up the back end of your non-league schedule to get better prepared for tounament time.

What is Farmers record so far?
Did he lose to Westfall?

Zane Trace and Unioto play basically the same non-league schedule every year.
Four of the ZT DH's are the same Saturday every season as are a couple of their single non-league games.
Easy to schedule with programs that you know will do whatever to play on Saturday.
Some years these teams are up and sometimes they are young.
Add one more DH and the schedule is done.

Farmer is 1-0. Beat Northwest.
I love ZT and Unioto's non-league schedules. Really, the only team who I have thought needed to boost up their NL schedule was Adena, but their's in much improved this season with DH's with Wheelersburg and Valley/Marietta.
Huntington, Southeastern, and Paint Valley's non league's are set up to get W's, while the league gets them prepared for the tournament 3 times a week.
Piketon and Westfall also each have solid NL schedule's that will give them some W's while also testing them in others.

I'm not a coach or anything but I dont't understand why you would waste Farmer on a non-league (Northwest) and not pitch him against Westfall ?

Opening day(Monday) was Northwest. So he had full rest and did pitch in the Westfall game. Its early in the season and arms aren't always up to shape, so its better to be safe than sorry when it comes to young arms.

Farmer threw 2 1/3 innings vs Westfall it was cold and the staff made the decision that he would not be going the distance...... THus Piketon started another young arm. Was it a mistake. Maybe would it happen again. You bet. The young man 3 weeks ago was playing basketball. Unlike some of the other Pitchers in the league. His arm is not conditioned. I can assure you of one thing. NO kid's future or season will be put in jeapardy ever to win a game even if it is the state championship.

Farmer has thrown 7 1/3 innings has 21 Ks and 7 BB no earned runs allowed.
It is a long season the young man will get his chances.
Furthermore, the Wolfe kid is a great pitcher. Smart and great location. Will be successful at the next level.

I will be the first to say how happy I am to hear this. You mean a coach actually looks out for the well-being of one of his players. I commend the coaching staff for limiting their kids this early in season.
