I was wondering if there is going to be a Gene Bennett classic baseball tournament this summer? If so does anyone have the dates and participating teams? Or is this a 1 and done deal?

My understanding it will be played agin this year.

yes they are having the Gene Bennett classic it is on june 16-19.

I have no idea of the teams. I got the legion schedule few weeks ago from Jack. It did not have teams listed.

Does anybody have a schedule for the games being played this weekend and the location? PDT has a write up about the tournament but didn't mention times, teams, location or which days they will be played. Please post entire schedule it you have it.

Post 23 plays at noon at West HS Field

With all of the press given this event (both before it started and during the first 2 days), shouldn't there have been some coverage of how it ended and what team won? Either Ports Daily Times or on the radio. I did hear a short sentence Tuesday morning that said the Warhawks won the tournament. No other coverage from what I have seen or heard. Too bad the Post 23 Legion team didn't do better. Win 1 and lose 5. Not much local sports coverage once the school year is over. Too bad.

post 23 a courtesy addition. home team no competition to the out of town teams. those teams are big time. several of the teams have many drafted in the mlb draft. keep up the good work post 23. great opportunity to play such cometition.
