Didn't have all the info I guess. While I was in town I saw a game at the new field. Seemed to me as if SAM was calling all the shots! Also Randy Nelson was coaching 1st base. So i guess it's safe to assume he is also an assistant!Tobias wrote:Dave Shoupe is the head coach. Sam McGraw is his father-in-law.
Jeff Ramey is an assistant coach.

They should have never let Hall of Fame coach Jon Tipton get away!! He played the best players regardless what their last name was!!Tobias wrote:http://www.portsmouth-dailytimes.com/vi ... rojans-7-5?

Wow. And what exactly is this supposed to mean? The coaches are doing a great job with the kids. The kids are getting better everyday. There are only two upperclassmen and only a couple with varsity experience prior to this year. The coaches play with what they have. On average there are about 12 people dressing varsity. Last names have nothing to do with who is playing.Archie wrote:They should have never let Hall of Fame coach Jon Tipton get away!! Ive seen your boys play a few times. That's just about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Not playing the best player? You only have 11 players on the varsity team (22 in the whole program) since 9 of the 11 players available have to start, then odds are pretty good that the best ones available are playing. The absolute fact about your team is that there isn't much talent there and the ones there, are very young.Archie wrote:They should have never let Hall of Fame coach Jon Tipton get away!!
