Prediction for D-IV East Sectional:

1. Southern - undefeated record speaks for itself
2. Green
3. Eastern-Meigs
4. Symmes Valley
5. Trimble
6. South Webster - despite only 2 wins, SW has played the toughtest schedule since they play in the SOC II
7. Ironton St. Joe - has not played many games due to a long school trip
8. Miller
9. South Gallia
10. Waterford

Wonder what will happen to the format if Miller isn't able to field a team by then ... Will they go to an (8) vs (9) play in game? Or just stick to the original and the team matched up with Miller after the draw gets an automatic bye?

Don't believe you can play with 8 players....

I know ... Usually a 9-team sectional has an (8) vs (9) play in game ...

A 10 team sectional you have (8) vs (9) - winner plays the No. 1 ... (7) vs (10) - winner plays the No. 2.

What do you do if Miller can't field a team?

Sorry about the mix up 93.... I Misread your quote.... You would think this has happened before and they would have a solution to the problem....

it looks good other than trimble and symmes valley should be switched. trimble has played a tougher schedule and has played tough teams close....

Does anyone have predictions for the west? I'm not even sure of those teams records.

"Schools that fail to participate in a tournament (individual or team) after indicating that they
will enter a tournament will be ineligible to participate in that particular sport’s OHSAAsponsored
tournament the following year." Taken off OSHAA website...93 So a school should let OSHAA know if they will not be in the tourney, that way they would avoid the penality.

I'm guessing the west top 4 our valley1 notre dame2 whiteoak3 and fairfield4. Valley is in the toughest league so I think they will be 1. Not sure about nd and whiteoak I was just goin on records.

I hope you are right about Valley getting a 1. Even though we all know Valley is a 1, I wouldn't be shocked to see them not get it. Look what happened in the basketball draw out of this sectional. It wouldn't shock me seeing Notre Dame get the 1 and Valley the 2.

Yea, the basketball thing was not cool Hopper ... I thought the three best teams all ended up in the top bracket ...

If Valley ends up getting the No. 2 - the same scenerio would play out with Southern and Valley possibly meeting up in the district championship game ... Not only that - the winner will have to face Newark Catholic/Fisher Catholic right off the rip in the regionals (which will most likely be their ace pitcher) ... The lower bracket team will play the district winner from Cambridge.
