Ironmen Baseball 2012
1B- Freshman
2B- Sophmore
3B- Sophmore
SS- Senior
LF- Sophmore
CF- Freshman
RF- Sophmore
P- Junior
C- Freshman

Time to give credit where credit is due. First year head coach Josh McGraw took over a team that won 4 games in 2011 and lost 4 senior starters. McGraw guided the Ironmen to a 14 win season and 2nd place (7-3) in the SEOAL. All while having 7 freshmen and sophomores in the starting lineup. In a time when it has become popular to bash a coach when things don't go as expected, it seems fitting to praise one when expectations are greatly exceeded. Great job coach! The future is looking bright.

Definitely an impressive season for the Ironmen, especially with so many young guys.

Great effort from the staff and the entire team.

What was the final overall record for the Ironmen?

14-10 is what I have them at I02 ... http://trivalleyconference.com/Schedules.html

Probably going to have a sectional final with Jackson traveling to Athens Thursday ... There are some out their (uh, um, especially me) that are looking for a little pay back from week 11!

Thanks, bulldog.

Jackson did beat Vinton County tonight, 13-4. Looks like you'll get that shot at redemption. :)

Coach McGraw has done a very nice job with a very young Jackson squad. Tonights game was a hard fought win for the Bulldogs against a very determined group of Ironmen. Congratulations on a very nice season.

Sounds like the Ironmen played well tonight, but came up just a little short.

Very good season for such a young team. Looking forward to next year.

Good luck to the Bulldogs as they continue on in the tournament.
