Let's get some early thoughts. Like every other yr the burg have lost some talent and has continued to make it to the state semi finals. Can the burg win their 7th straight regional title this yr and return to huntington park for the 7th straight yr and 8 of the last 9

They certainly have a shot. lots of interesting decisions and position battles coming

Burg baseball not going away. They the best small school program in the state. Got a good lefty coming up

Who is the lefty? I don't know the young ones at all anymore

Much respect to this program over the years and their ability to reload and compete. Extremely consistent in their approach and efforts, a model program and I am sure 2016 be no different.

I look for Alexander to be very good this year again and would predict a Spartan-Pirate regional final at the VA once again to see who goes to Huntington Park.

I haven't seen it yet but I'd say there will be a few games at va stadium in the invite tourney against some powerhouse oh schools. They have been in it the last few yrs

Lots of talented freshman coming up. Expecting an exciting upcoming 4 years of Burg Baseball!

I've enjoyed going to Huntington Park and watching the Burg play. Always proud to see the hometown kids doing well. Coach Estep and crew got the baseball figured out.

I am looking for a very successful year for Wheelersburg Baseball! I do not see them starting the year with a #1 pitcher, as they had Wade Martin who just graduated (now pitching for Marshall) and before that Derek Moore (perfect record for 4 years- pitching at SSU) and before that Andrew Elliott (pitched at Wright State and now drafted by the Baltimore Orioles.) I do see some pitching by committee to start the year, but I believe they will be strong with upper class men and talented freshmen pitchers coming up. Exciting upcoming year of BURG BASEBALL!!!

Wheelersburg has always had good, stout quality teams with great talent. Like in previous years, Wheelersburg is by far the Heavy favorites in the SOC 2 and in Southeast Ohio.

Just watched the Canton Central Catholic- Coldwater D5 football final. Wheelersburg lost to Canton Central Catholic baseball in the FInal 4 in June, and Wheelersburg lost to Coldwater football in the FInal 4 last week. Lots of fond memories of the Wheelersburg success this year.

I expect Burg baseball to have a great year. Lots of people questioning the pitching this year but I think there'll be some surprises. Will be exciting to see!
