Belpre has the talent!
Question is this
can coach get them to play good fundamental baseball?

Just heard the Federal Hocking has suspended their coach. Not sure why or what for does anyone know if this is fact or fiction?

Don't know and frankly, don't care. Went down to the bend and beat the Tornadoes on their home field today, and that is a good thing. Sure that if it is true, we will hear soon enough. Perhaps a lancer that was in attendance today can tell us if the coach was at the game, which will confirm, or dispel, whether this is a rumor or accurate.athens78 wrote:Just heard the Federal Hocking has suspended their coach. I can confirm that Coach Hoffman was suspended. However out of respect to his son, I don't feel it should be bantered or discussed on forum. This is a personal matter and Coach Grimm seems to be doing a good job of running the club. 'nuff said...

Absolutely right, GW. No need to say anything else about this on here. Should have considered the source and never even responded to the allegation.
Re: TVC-Hocking 2014
The weather, if it keeps acting up, will bunch up games. This will favor the teams with pitching depth over the teams that have only an arm or two. I know Miller has a run of games on the 21st, 22nd,23rd--a DH, and comes back on the 25th. They are all league games too.

If the new coaches son doesn't have a little league game. I heard they cancelled Saturday because the new coaches son played and he would be unavailable. I so hope that isn't the case.

That's really bad if the new head coach is cancelling because of his kids games when he has accepted the responsibility of the varsity team. Gonna be a nice day on Saturday plus its a chance to play on a field you could end up in for the district tournament.

there has to be something else going on, If my son was a teammate I would be having a conversation with this "Coach"

Re: TVC-Hocking 2014
Paper today said that the replacement Coach for Rocky's replacement has been replaced. So, now Fed Hock is on their third coach in less than a month, after the long tenure of the "Rock", Rocky Brunty. Who knows what is going on up there on top of the hill? I hope that they sort it out quickly and get some stability into the program for the kids.
Re: TVC-Hocking 2014
I think you are judging Coach Grimm a little to quickly. He never applied for this job! He has always been dedicated to his sons little league team. He told them he would do it until they could find a replacement.

That's understandable. Coach Grimm was put in a tight spot. We should give him the benefit of the doubt.JC2124 wrote:I think you are judging Coach Grimm a little to quickly. I think Coach Joe Richards will be a good fit for this group of kids. Good Luck to him and the players.

Re: TVC-Hocking 2014
Hopefully they have it figured out. Word is this is all the fault of the Superintendent. Hoffman help push Rocky out and was the Superintendents hand picked choice. Obviously that didn't work our and neither did it in football. People I talked to at Federal say the Super. doesn't care about sports anyhow. Also they said the AD recommended Tolson for the new girls basketball coach and the Super didn't want him and picked a girl that had a year of Junior high experience. The board advise him it would be 5-0 against her and she was taken off the agenda. Tolson was hired last week. Whey would the super go against the AD who has over 30 years experience in basketball? Again like they said he doesn't care about sports maybe. Hopefully they get things straight done there. Once a power house in all sports has been torn apart piece by piece.

Word on the street now is that the former FH coach, two times removed, showed up for the tournament game of Fed Hock vs. Chesapeake wearing a Chesapeake shirt. Way to keep it classy there, coach.......
