Too be honest I am now working on career stats. As far as when and who I an not say. It all depends on signability. Teams no longer just draft you. If they don't sign you then they lose that money slotted for that pick. Teams only get 10 million for first 10 rounds after that max signing bonus is 100,000.
What I do know he has a full to OSU. As far as the Pros Rangers, Pirates and Cardinals have all been highly interested. Who knows.lol
Draft starts at 6 pm tonight.

He had a very impressive high school career in a tough conference. I'm glad to see his attitude improved from last year. It shows he has done a lot of maturing. I wish him nothing but the best.

Attitude was never a problem. Every major program had no problem with his attitude. Great kid and competitor. Had a monster Career at Piketon HS. Now will take his talents on to Columbus to play for the Buckeyes.bellyoption wrote:He had a very impressive high school career in a tough conference. Looking forward to seeing him pitch for the buckeyes.
I think a lot of people look at him as cocky, but not me. I looked at him as a very confident person who had an unbelievable career. Good luck, glad you re moving on. :122249

Re: Zach Farmer
There were many teams that called and inquired of his signability. He told them he had a number in mind and if they didn't match it he was going to OSU. Teams decided not to waste a pick on him if he was not going to sign. So no he was not drafted. He will be a frosh nest year at OSU

Re: Zach Farmer
Wow. That seems arrogant and I don't understand that strategy at all. Who told him to do that? Hopefully it's a move that works out better for him in the long run. Southeastern Ohio kids who go on to pitch at Ohio State don't have a good track record of making it to the next level, mainly because they throw their arms out.bengalfan76 wrote:There were many teams that called and inquired of his signability. The kid wanted to be a Buckeye. How can you go wrong with getting an education? Not arrogant at all. Trust me a lot of thought and decision went into this decision.

Go Buckeyes! When he gets drafted out of OSU he will probably get his number and then some. Good luck Zach
Re: Zach Farmer
Yes, a decision based on arrogance. Sign for $100,000 or less, throw your arm out, wind up with nothing. Or, go to OSU, throw your arm out, wind up with a first rate education. Arrogance indeed!

Re: Zach Farmer
My point is if he wanted to go to school, don't throw out numbers at people. Just see where you are drafted and make a decision from there. Teams will remember this. I wish him the best but if it was me, I'd take my chances in the minors. Take a second and think about it. Could you see why major league teams could see what is being described as arrogant?mikepike wrote:Yes, a decision based on arrogance. Re: Zach Farmer
Not sure anyone has talked about this since everyone assumed he would go in the draft.
What kind of student is he, hopefully grades and school work won't be an issue for him at OSU?
I wish him the best, can't go wrong being a buckeye! Go Bucks!
