Re: 4/19
Why was the Athens game called off?
Field conditions could have switched it to Jackson I would think.

Makes no sense in why teams cancel games on perfectly good nights. Sometimes I wonder if Teams or coaches even want to play baseball. Perfectly good night. I heard on Tues night, 60 degrees and sunny, a team cancelled a makeup game with another and the team that cancelled has a turf infield. My take is this, if you don't want to play anymore then 14-15 games then don't schedule games!! We live in Ohio, Field Conditions and Temps are not always going to be ideal!! Another great indication of our Soft Society!!

I don’t get it. Seems to me AD’s should insist a scheduled game be played if possible. If you happen to being scheduled against an inferior or superior team....doesn’t matter. Play the games on your schedule. It’s a short season, enjoy the games. Crazy not to play tonight.baseball16 wrote: Thu Apr 19, 2018 7:14 pm Makes no sense in why teams cancel games on perfectly good nights. I really feel the pitching limitations have to much to do with whether or not a game is playable. One local team had a DH canceled just a couple hours before because one team couldn’t make it.

Apparently one field wasn't in playable condition.Poo Bear wrote: Thu Apr 19, 2018 4:18 pm Varsity cancelled and JV playing ? Makes no sense . Someone out of pitching ?
Happened with us a couple times this year on the road and at home.

I would assume that a varsity game would take precedence over a JV game . But that why I don't make the big bucksOrange and Brown wrote: Thu Apr 19, 2018 8:05 pmApparently one field wasn't in playable condition.Poo Bear wrote: Thu Apr 19, 2018 4:18 pm Varsity cancelled and JV playing ?
