Miami Trace, Unioto, Hillsboro (my upset pick), and Sheridan

I will go with:
Miami Trace, Unioto, Hillsboro (my upset pick), and Sheridan

I agree with those! Hillsboro would be a top 4-5 most years. District is loaded. Also Warren could give Sheridan a game. If both teams had their aces I’d say Waverly but Unioto has theirs and they don’t so I’ll lean with the Shermans

Waverly scored early. Unioto tied it and then took the one run lead top of 7th.

Hillsboro won 2-1

I was in attendance for this one. It had the feel of a district final game. A bad hop base hit RBI, a home run, a potential home run that came up just short and off the fence, and very good, high level pitching.

I’ve seen most teams play. Hillsboro was a 3-4 seed at worst. 7 seed doesn’t take into account their schedule. The FAC is unreal. A 6 team league with 3 teams that won 20 games. Wow.

I believe Trace, Hillsboro and Jackson are probably the 3 best teams in the district. Jackson and Hillsboro happen to clash in the 2nd round. Too tough of a task for Jackson to beat a good Hillsboro team 3 times in one year. With that being said, could Unioto or Sheridan beat them, yes. It’s D2 baseball.

On a side note, I didn’t realize, until speaking with a couple fans last night, that Jackson was under .500 and last place in the FAC just a season or 2 ago. That’s a quick rebuild. Congrats to Coach Mcgraw and staff on that turnaround in just one season.

I’ll pick Miami Trace and Hillsboro for the final. But who knows, could end up Unioto and Sheridan. Either way, I can’t wait to watch.
