Things didn't start well for the Ironladies from the lengthy bus ride as they give up 4 runs in the first and 2 more in the second to trail fast by a 6-1 score to the lady Tigers & Carpenter in the circle. In fact, it would be that away until 5th inning. The Ironladies would leave 8 baters on base the first 4 innings. In the 5th, the Ironladies would score 3 runs on 3 hits and 4 hit-batsman. 2 runs in 6th on back-2-back doubles. Put the score @ 6-6. gave up 1 in bottom of 6th to trail 7-6 headed to the final stanza (we thought). After a couple singles, the game was knotted @ 7s. Both teams would leave runners in scoring position throughout the next 3 innings. But in the 11th, the Ironladies would string together a single, stolen base, double, stolen base, and single ALL with 2 outs to push to a 2 run advantage. The lady tigers didn't roll over though. They would score one inthe bottom of the 11th before flying out and leaving the tiing & winning runs stranded on the bases.

Apsley went the distance for the Ironladies pitching a real jem with great support by the defense after the first 2 innings.
