Re: Jackson Ironladies Indoor Hitting League - 3 age divisio
very good idea , we did this in Lancaster with live pitching two years ago. they did 4 person teams. certain amount of points for hitting certain areas . plus points for walks, minus pts for k's etc etc. MD I'll have to see if I can get a few from NDHS.
Re: Jackson Ironladies Indoor Hitting League - 3 age divisio
Last day to sign up will be on Thursday, Nov. 18th.
As of Sunday @ 6:00 pm there were:
4 - high school teams
4 - 14 & under teams
3 - 10 & under teams
Thought there would be more interest in the area, among high school girls wanting to stay sharp with there hitting skill in a competitive atmosphere.
A great facility for high school level.
Any questions can ask here, call Coach Don Kunz, or send me a PM

Re: Jackson Ironladies Indoor Hitting League - 3 age divisio
has this started yet? if so how does it work? any results yet?
Re: Jackson Ironladies Indoor Hitting League - 3 age divisio
It has started. Several teams played on Saturday.
3 players per team.....5 inning games....6 pitches per inning....most play double headers when they can...takes about an hour for a DH.
Points scored based on where ball is hit into cage/net...better hits get you a higher point total.
Good way to keep sharp in the off season

Re: Jackson Ironladies Indoor Hitting League - 3 age divisio
They have had a great response. Many parents & players have expressed that the way it is played, the competitive style, & the opportunity to sharpen their skills was a great idea.
The league consists of 15 teams (all 3 member teams), 5 teams in each division. Of the 45 girls, there are 5 from Chillicothe, 8 from Wellston, 1 Wheelersburg, 1 Minford, 2 Piketon, 1 Portsmouth, 1 Alexander, the rest from the Jackson area. This includes the entire 10-U travel team "Thunder Chix".
Anticipation is to run another league beginning the last week in January. Hope to see this league increase, looks like lots of good competition and skill building for a very inexpensive price. I will give updates of goods & bads as the league progresses.
