Rock Hill should be the team to beat. OVC champs last year, one game from state tourney and pretty much the core group and pitching staff are back. As long as they remain injury free they should be a great group to watch.

Lady Dragons 5-0 :) Beat South Point 10-3 last night. They are young and have some serious talent this year. Solid defensively and they have some BIG hitters.

This group of girls are solid 1-9 in the line up!!!
Have some freshman starters a pitcher thats a sophomore...
They are getting better each outing....
Look for Fairland to be right there at the end fighting for their
share of an OVC softball title......

Rock Hill still has a pretty young team. Has 3 sophomore starters (one being the pitcher) and a freshman starter. Didn't lose any of their infield from last year........Records don't mean anything. It depends on how tough your schedule is compared to other teams. But I say it will be a good match up! :-D

Fairland Lady Dragons are 7-1. Lost to Gallia Academy tonight 3-2. Fairland is a young team starting only 1 senior, 4 juniors, 1 sophomore and 3 freshmen.
Have posted wins over New Boston, Ironton, 2 wins over Oak Hill, S.Point, Portsmouth and Coal Grove.

Did I see right in another thread, that CG beat Chesapeake???....If that is true, that would be CG's first and only OVC win ever...Amazing.....Nothing against CG, but how far has Ches. fallen?.......... :12224

Thanks.....But when is the goal of a softball team, to get every kid a chance to play......That is good, but I do not know if that should be a highlight.......How was SP's pitching?...How did the hitters do?.How was the defense? No errors?.......Is the starting line-up beginning to gel?.......That will be a win against Ches.......Man Ches has fallen off, letting CG beat them...But every team has off years.....Aaron will get them back to the top................When does SP play RH.........That will be a tuff one, if SP lost to Fairland........Good luck to the team.......... :12224

The baseball score with Gallipolis was 3-2. Was the girls score the same? I heard at the baseball game the Blue Angels were on top, 4-0.

South Pont 16- 4 over Chesapeake. All the pointers played again and we pitched our 1, 3 and 4 pitcher. Not too many hits by the Pointers because of too many wols given up by Peake. Rice started, Allen relieved her and tne Rice came back in. I lost count but there were 8 walks in the first two innings.

The goal of softball should be to get everyone action in the game if possible. Nothing wrong with letting all the kids that are at every practice get in in the games that are blowouts. Go see a game most are just down the road!
