Yes, it's true Ironman, Whiteoak over East 4-0
Great game by Whiteoak ! CONGRATS LADIES AND COACH MALONE !
Freshman Sosby - 17Ks, 1BB, 3 hits on the mound.
Looks like we will have Waterford next. Anyone want to share anything ? Doesn't hurt to ask.

Glad to see Jackson come out on top with the W. They fought hard and deserve it. As for Waverly, not impressed.REAL CLASS when you get beat to throw your glove over the dugout... And the Waverly fans...LEARN THE RULES. Jackson coach clearly showed in the rule book where the subs were legal. If your coach did his homework he would know. Well played game by the Ironladies. Wish them all the best in the future. See ya NEXT YEAR waverly...

Great game Waverly!
Pathetic umpiring. Jackson was allowed to re-enter a sub twice!!!!
Umpire told Waverly he agreed the call was not right but allowed it to happen again!
Jackson third base coach obnoxious and called time out in between every batter toward end of game!
Nothing like letting your best hitters hit and bring in your fastest runners!!!
I'm positive at next the next level THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN!once-a-piston"

Let me add:
What a game, both squads were playing well enough to win. These two teams played 3 times this season and ALL 3 games were decided by 1 RUN. Jackson won 2, both scoring winning run in the bottom of the 7th, waverly won the second contest by scoring 2 runs in bottom of the 6th, then holding Jackson in the 7th. Two very fine ballclubs to face each other in first game of sectional.
To clear the air with facts:
The Ironladies coach brought a bench player in to pinch run for the DP, then re-entered the DP(this was her allowed re-entery), then when the DP singled in the 6th inning, the coach re-entered the SAME bench player to pinch run again using the SUBS RE-ENTRY. The SUB then stayed in the DP position for the rest of the game.
RULE STATES FOR SOFTBALL(unlike baseball)---ANY PLAYER (STARTER OR SUBSTITUTE), IS ALLOWED 1(one) RE-ENTRY. THE PINCH RUNNER WAS RE-ENTERED ONCE. It really pays to know the rules so you can coach it with strategic moves to gain an advantage within ALLOWABLE RULES when 2 teams are very close in abilities. ALSO, helps to have a Rule book on hand and able to locate the rules.
Rule books are usually available at most local Sporting Goods Store.
Go Ironladies!!!!
