Re: Pitchers
interesting question at the HS level ..... so entirely different than the previous 5 or so years ... SEO has always had a dominant type pitcher ... Groves from Clay , Dillow from Valley, Thompson from Green , and I'm 100% sure I'm forgetting a handful ... but this year is different in that I dont know a kid you would call " dominant" ... plenty good ones but I dont know any who you know for sure is going to give up no more than 1-2 about every time out . I'd guess Conkey from Minford , and from on up the rt 23 Geno with Zane Trace will be leaders in the circle this season .. who else ?
Re: Pitchers
Welch from west. pitched last year as a junior and before hadnt pitched since 8 grade. Made it to regionals.
Re: Pitchers
I'll give a shout out to Kiley Sosby of Whiteoak. I believe she was over 250 K as a freshman last year.
Conkey and Geno are the hardest throwing. The girl from Logan Elm is very very good. Kacee Jenkins of Jackson had a great freshman campaign last year.

Re: Pitchers
Maria Johnson of Eastern Brown and Gena Wright of Unioto are two 5'1 fireballers for two pretty good ball clubs.

Re: Pitchers
sharpie -- Ohio has a pitcher going to Univ of Texas ( Slatten from cinci area) and Alvelo going to U of Washington . And one to the Univ of Louisville ( top twenty last year) . dont get too carried away .
Re: Pitchers
Yeah....sharpie picked Jackson and Warren to finish last and next to last....he was dead on except that we were both Co-champs
Re: Pitchers
Yeah, not exactly a good track record. But my daughter has played against Geno several times in her career so far and she is definitely one of the top 10 2015 pitchers according to http://www.ohiosoftballrecruitingnews.com/ and a threat at the plate. I heard that she has verballed to Ohio University, not bad.Ironman92 wrote:Yeah....sharpie picked Jackson and Warren to finish last and next to last....he was dead on except that we were both Co-champs
But, I would have to go with Alvelo based on past games, never played against Slatten. Also can't forget about Tara Trainer and Emily Anderson (signed with University of Toledo) when mentioning Cincy girls.
Re: Pitchers
You could make a pretty strong case (book it) that Sharpie knows you personally (or thinks he does) based on your tag and strong Jackson posts on softball. I think Sharpie just likes getting some folks riled up on the board. The softball board is usually too cordial and Sharpie likes mixing it up some. Don't bite and the fish tend to go away. Re: Pitchers
Ok... I will bite on it... In the SVC this year: (and in no paticular order)
Morgan Geno ZT (Soph)
Alayna Lytle Hunt (Soph)
Gina Rosshirt West (Sen)
Gina Wright U (Soph)
Erin Riley PV (Jun)
Adrien Dunn Pike (Soph)
These are all very solid high school pitchers who are able to dominate any given game... Also, look at the ages, most will be around for a while longer, so it doesn't get any easier!

I'm assuming you quoted the wrong person and could not be any less riled.SVCrocks wrote:You could make a pretty strong case (book it) that Sharpie knows you personally (or thinks he does) based on your tag and strong Jackson posts on softball.
