Your stance on my Sherman's softball squad and 
the league Unioto has been part of for close to 50 years
Reminds me of the story about the Zen Master and the boy with the horse:


There once was a small village 
where a young child was bought a horse for his 9th birthday.. 
the villagers heard about this,
 and said that this was fantastic news…
 but when the Zen Master heard about this he simply said
 “we shall see”…

Three years later the boy fell off his horse and broke his legs, 
the villagers were distrought, “what terrible news” they said.. 
but the Zen Master simply said “we shall see”.

One year later the country went to war, 
and due to his injury the boy was able to stay at home instead of fighting, 
"what great news” said the villagers,
 and once again, 
the Zen Master simply said:
“we shall see”.


Like wise "We shall see" how well my Sherman's are ready for the tournament trail.
It's pretty simple math really
A win in the 1st round and the Sherman's are as good 
as 50% of the DII teams in the State.
A win in round two and the Sherman's are as good as 75% of the teams in DII
That puts you in the top 25% of your Division,
 not bad if you can make it and the Shermans have made a few District finals 
and Regional semi-final appearances in the past 6 or so seasons.

I was reading their results, actually appeared they played a predominately DII non-league schedule. With the exception of Wheelersburg, Eastern Brown, Minford, and Wellston. Not sure you could play much better in this district, there are a lot of schools that you can question scheduling, but I am not sure Unioto is one of them. Does not matter anyway, we will see how they perform next week. Good luck to all of the outstanding DIII teams and to Unioto as well

Piketon/EB game moved to Piketon in the bottom of the 1st with EB up 1-0. Piketon scores 3 in the bottom of the 4th and add two more in the 5th. EB scores 2 in the 6th and 1 in the bottom of the 7th, but Piketon hangs on for the win 5-4!

Softball is a sport of many variables. Seeding is based on teams that can minimize eb and flo throughout the season. It is tough to compare conferences but that is why you play the game.
