SHAC Freshmen
Re: SHAC Freshmen
Gopher,
From what I saw at JH (8th grade) level last year,
- Whiteoak will have 1 maybe 2 players that will impact the varsity team (I will let you field that one, just my impression from JH last year),
- Peebles will add a few players to the mix (pitcher, catcher),
- North Adams will get a pitcher (Spriggs) that will make an immediate impact.
- Fayetteville picks up the Carson kid (Junior), not sure about incoming freshmen
- Fairfield has good incoming freshman class (barely beat them in JH tournament play last year, much improved from first game)
- Eastern has (3) freshmen coming in that have played JH and summer ball the last couple years. But, without a JV team, it will be interesting to see where they fit in the mix of (7) sophomores, (3) starting seniors and a couple Juniors I have not seen play.
I do see much more balance in the league this year. Teams adding pitching will help the league a lot as well.

Thanks Sox
I figured you would be in the know. WHS has 3 freshmen as well and looks like we may have improved range at SS but still way early. Surprises me about no JV at Eastern, but even the bigger D1 schools in Cincy seem to be down on numbers. No JV at WHS again this year, hopefully there are some Jr. High players coming in the next couple years.
