2015 SEOAL

Post by warrior90 »

Well it is about that time of year. Dusting the old glove off and hoping for good weather so the ladies can get out on the field.

The SEOAL should be wide open this year. Warren, and Jackson will be battling for the top spot with Logan ready to jump in as well. Peighton Williams may be the best all around hitter in the league and will help lead Portsmouth. Gallia can easily be a middle of the pack team as well, but if I remember had several seniors on last years team. This league will really be up for grabs and it would not surprise me if it is a three waqy tie for first.

My early prediction from what is coming back from last year:
Warren / Jackson
Logan
Portsmouth
Gallia

Thoughts?

I would like to wish Jackson the best of luck. The past 4 seasons I was the assistant coach and got used to a lot of first base coaching boxes. They have quite the loaded battery in Jenkins and Humphreys. Some talented younger players that should jump right in and some good speed. Gotta figure Coach Hammond will have them right in the mix of it with Warren.

Logan may be good enough to make a run as well.

TVC Ohio Div. & SEOAL 2015 Pre-season / before they get out of the gate predictions.

TVC:

Ohio Division

1. Alexander (Meeks with young talented crew)
2 Wellston (Will the Lady Rocket's new coach try to change the program too quickly to her style from Rick Purdue's type of ball)
2. Athens (So. pitcher could make the difference, coaching might be Athens downfall)
4. Meigs (A better team from past years ?)
5. Nelsonville York (Fighting to get higher in the standings.)
6. River Valley (Trying to stay out of last place)
6. Vinton County (Trying to win enough to crawl out of last place)

SEOAL:

1. Warren (Should be very strong)
1. Jackson (Could be very sound if new coach can get get players to work hard at his system, 5 starting players back with 4 positions to fill. Is that right ?
1. Logan (Strong team, speed on the bases and pitching could make or break this team.
4. GAHS ( Surprise, Surprise, Surprise, as Gomer Pyle would say ! Coaching/Pitching/Defense ???

This conference could be fun to watch. Warren has a very talented bunch, Good coaching and talent. Jackson is young with a few starters from last year but has a 4 yr. pitcher. Jackson is also working under a new program and will have to adapt to his expectations. Their new coach has a strong travel softball winning experience. Logan will have strong sticks. Speed and pitching will be the question mark. GAHS could be a team that could upset your day. A bunch of changes at Gallipolis. They could learn some good pointers from coach Corvin's baseball tactics.
